Hi! I'm Jamie, owner and lead designer at Buds & Blooms aka your unofficial Flower Fairy Godmother, and honorary Mother Of Beagles (Don't worry we'll get to that)! My passion for flowers and floral design is something that has been with me since I was a girl. My professional journey started on a much different path when I graduated from Old Dominion University's School of Dental Hygiene. Completely different from florals right?!? Surprisingly practicing Dental Hygiene has a few things in common with floral arranging. Possessing a meticulous eye for detail mixed with my strive for perfectionist tendencies in my work, are traits that I have carried over from the dental field and continue to use when designing every single floral arrangement. When COVID hit in 2020 I was given the gift of time to reflect on where I was in my life and where I really wanted to be. During this period is when I decided to make the switch to floral design full time! When I am not surrounded by all things floral, you can find me cuddled up with my 4 rescue beagles, Charlie, Scarlett, Levi, and Ellie! Animals are my other passion, especially beagles.
